Synopsis
In this 15-minute short film made exclusively for the Ghibli Museum, a young puppy named Koro from a small town wanders outside when his owner unintentionally leaves the front gate open one morning. Koro explores the town, catching a ride with a girl on a bicycle before jumping off at a railway crossing. During his journey, he meets a friendly older dog and its warmhearted owners. Meanwhile, his owner and her father search the area, posting "Lost" notices on lampposts. Eventually, Koro falls asleep under a delivery van, which unknowingly carries him closer to home. Catching the familiar scent of his neighborhood, Koro leaps out and has a joyful reunion with his relieved owner.
