Synopsis

After losing his job and home, Mito Yamamoto falls into deep despair. His misfortune continues when he injures his hand at a cafe, and the eccentric barista Ruka Saotome tastes his blood with disgust. Feeling hopeless, Mito goes to a bridge to take his own life, but Ruka intervenes and reveals he is a vampire. Unable to drink the blood of regular women, Ruka proposes a deal: Mito will become his thrall and primary blood source in exchange for lodging and affectionate blood. However, Mito is actually female, hiding her femininity and long hair to attend the all-male Hijirigaoka Boys' High School and work part-time at the cafe with Ruka. As their bond deepens, Mito struggles more and more to keep her true identity concealed.
