The Ping-Pong Club

Synopsis

The Inaho Junior High Ping-Pong Club is struggling with a lack of motivation just before a major tournament. Their new manager, Kyoko Iwashita, tries to spark their enthusiasm with an unusual incentive: a "sex pass" that grants the club's top player exclusive access to her for an entire month. This unconventional method kick-starts a series of extraordinary events. Among the six team members, Maeno stands out by introducing bizarre distractions every day. The rest of the players join in these antics, while club captain Takeda struggles to keep order amid the chaos. Surprisingly, when popular vice-captain Yuusuke Kinoshita starts attracting attention from various girls, Kyoko unexpectedly supports him. The club constantly hovers on the edge of being disbanded, forcing Takeda and his teammates to face many challenges. Although Maeno's frequent provocations often threaten the club's stability, he also comes up with audacious plans that might just save the day. Will Maeno's absurd strategies ultimately benefit the Ping-Pong Club, or will they only cause more trouble?

Ike! Ina-chuu Takkyuu-bu consists of 26 episodes; however, each episode is divided into two 12-minute segments, leading some streaming services to partition the show into 52 episodes. This occurs on the DVD releases as well, although the North American release confused certain two-part episodes, with its episode count at 47. The DVD set consists of five uniquely-named volumes, with certain episodes appearing on their own respective discs.
