Synopsis
While reporting on a newly formed volcanic island, journalist Iwakura comes across a young man who has no memory of his past. When this encounter reaches the ears of a shadowy figure named Rush, he recognizes the amnesiac as Mars—a being not from Earth, assigned to pilot a highly advanced robot called Gaia and destroy the planet if humans ever venture into space. Gaia is engineered to self-destruct along with Earth should Mars be killed. Due to Mars's memory loss, Rush gives him ten days to explore human history and decide what to do. Mars must choose between completing his original mission or siding with humanity.
