Synopsis
In "Masamune-kun's Revenge OVA," Masamune Makabe returns home from school and encounters a young girl he first mistakes for his cheerful mother. It soon becomes apparent that she is actually his cousin, Haruka. Struck by how much they resemble each other, Masamune's mother, aunt Asae, and Haruka decide to exploit their similar looks for a series of pranks, encouraged by his sister, Chinatsu. Meanwhile, Aki Adagaki invites her friends Neko Fujinomiya, Tae Futaba, and Kojuurou Shuri to spend summer vacation on Tsunade Island. Masamune cannot join them because he accidentally hurts himself by walking into a pole. His absence stirs various feelings among the group, especially a sense of emptiness. Yoshino Koiwai, who has been diligently working on Tsunade Island, receives a day off. With help from her sister, Yoshino undergoes a makeover and is convinced to take a break from her demanding maid duties. Even with this chance to indulge herself, Yoshino realizes that happiness can come in forms beyond mere self-gratification.
