Synopsis
Continues the story of Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle
In the TV anime adaptation of Phantasy Star Online 2: Episode Oracle, which covers the first three episodes of the five-part game series along with some original content, the story begins with the protagonist and fellow ARKS recruit Afin undergoing their qualification exam on the planet Naberius. During the exam, they face attacks from Darkers, malevolent creatures that threaten the planet. They also encounter a mysterious girl suffering from memory loss, leading them to uncover secrets about Naberius and the surge in Darker activity. Episode two delves into the player and Matoi's investigation into a sinister conspiracy surrounding ARKS’s true origins and objectives. In episode three, the discovery of the planet Harukotan sets off a new mission as tensions rise between its native Shironians and Kuronites due to an unexpected Kuronite offensive. With ARKS reorganized, they set out to uncover the roots of this unrest, only to find that the reality is far more complex and disturbing than anticipated.

As debates arise over the game's influence on the student body, the meticulous student council president, Rina Izumi, steps forward in its defense. She appoints Itsuki as vice president, assigning him the task of mastering the game while still maintaining his academic performance. His duty is to record his daily progress and evaluate whether the game holds real value for her. With the fate of Phantasy Star Online 2 at stake, Itsuki must rise to meet the challenge.
