Synopsis

While investigating a reported haunted house, Yun Arikawa and his coworker Haberu Katou uncover a mystery that could soon engulf the entire world. As they measure strange radio signals, they receive a message from Mei Kamino, a graduate student studying the same frequency using equipment provided by their company. After an unusual night, Yun returns to Ootaki Factory, a tech firm dedicated to building Jet Jaguar—a robot dreamed up by conspiracy enthusiast Gorou Ootaki. When flying, dinosaur-like creatures called Rodan appear, drawn by the anomalous signals, Jet Jaguar appears to be humanity's only hope. As Yun and Mei investigate the sudden Rodan outbreak, more dangerous monsters emerge from the ocean, accompanied by a mysterious red dust.

Godzilla: S.P was nominated for the 42nd Nihon SF Taisho Award in 2022. In the same year, the anime won the 53rd Seiun Award in the Best Media category. The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in three volumes from August 18, 2021, to October 20, 2021.
