This series is made up largely of standalone episodes that retell different fairy or folk tales. Despite its name, not all of the stories are taken from the Grimm Brothers' collection. Note: On the RetroCrush streaming platform, the multi-part episodes of 'Puss in Boots', 'Snow White', and 'Cinderella' have been combined.

Each episode functions as an independent adaptation of a distinct fairy tale or folk story. The series does not exclusively draw from the tales compiled by the Brothers Grimm.
