Synopsis
One of China's earliest paper-cut animation films. On their journey to the West, Tang Sanzang, Sun Wukong, and Zhu Bajie take a rest in a desert. They are thirsty and exhausted, so they enter a temple they believe to be abandoned. After walking for a while, Zhu Bajie complains about his stomach aching, prompting Sun Wukong to scout ahead for food while warning him not to be lazy. Soon, Zhu Bajie discovers a large watermelon and cuts it into four pieces to share. However, after eating the largest piece, he cannot resist the temptation and consumes the rest. Sun Wukong witnesses this and decides to punish him using magic.
