Synopsis

In "The Duchess of Busty Mounds," although my father came from a well-off family, he squandered the fortune on extravagance, leading him to marry for the fourth time. When I opened the door, I found a woman who turned out to be my new stepmother. Even though it was our first meeting, she bore an uncanny resemblance to my biological mother. I felt an impulsive, almost childish urge to bury my face in her generous bosom. Thinking back on my father's sudden death from a fall off his horse, I wondered why both my real mother and this new mother-in-law would have been drawn to him. The following day, a lavish carriage arrived at our house, sent by my grandfather. Since our family estate was already drowning in debt, he offered to provide financial assistance. However, his motives were not purely generous—having no male heirs, he adopted me to secure the family line. Consequently, my stepmother and I moved into my grandfather's mansion.
