Synopsis
Continues the story of Karma
In Aihara's experimental short film Karma from 1977, water serves as the central thematic motif. Created through hand-drawn animation and captured on 16mm film with a blue filter, the work opens with tiny dots flickering across the screen, reminiscent of snowflakes. These dots gradually transform into bubble-like shapes, then expand further into streams of water flowing across a transparent surface.
In this installment
A tranquil, abstract hand-drawn animation by Nobuhiro Aihara, featuring Kitarou's song "Asa no Inori" from his album "Oasis."
