The Journey
Journey: Taiko Arabia Hantou de no Kiseki to Tatakai no Monogatari
ジャーニー 太古アラビア半島での奇跡と戦いの物語
Synopsis
In the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, General Abraha leads a massive army advancing northward toward the sacred city of Mecca, delivering a harsh ultimatum: Mecca must surrender, its people will be taken as slaves, and the revered Kaaba must be destroyed. Instead of fleeing, a handful of brave Meccans choose to resist. Among them is Aws Ibn Jubair, once a wrongdoer but now a humble potter dedicated to righteousness and worship. As the enemy moves forward under the cover of night, the vastly outnumbered defenders struggle to keep their spirits up. Unexpectedly, a former atheist mercenary named Zurara returns—a man who had been Aws' partner in crime but never sought forgiveness. Although Zurara initially comes for food and payment, he grows inspired by Aws' journey to faith, seeing the protection of Mecca as a worthy mission. The unlikely duo, once allies in wrongdoing, reunite to defend the land and beliefs that offer them true redemption.
