Continues the story of Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Hero Chapter
In the wake of the events chronicled in Yuuki Yuuna is a Hero, the Hero Club of Sanshu Middle School—composed of Yuuna Yuuki, Karin Miyoshi, and the Inubouzaki siblings Fuu and Itsuki—continues its work aiding those in need. They are soon joined by Sonoko Nogi, a hero from a prior era. Yet the group soon notes the absence of Mimori Tougou, whose presence should be felt; every trace of her existence has been erased, leaving only the memories held by her friends. Without any leads on Tougou's location, the club members regain their ability to transform and embark on a desperate search for their lost comrade. Their journey uncovers startling revelations that shake the very foundations of their world.

Following the loss of divine protection, humanity enters a new era with the opportunity to rebuild. The members of Sanshu Middle School's Hero Club have completed their obligations to Taisha and now enjoy typical middle school life. However, this peace comes with significant sacrifices. In the 298th year of the Divine Era, Mebuki Kusunoki is among those vying to be the next hero. Despite her hard work to surpass her competitors, the title goes to Karin Miyoshi, leaving Mebuki enraged by Taisha’s decision. Two years pass, and Mebuki is appointed as the leader of the Sentinels, a team tasked with exploring uncharted territories outside the protective barrier. What appears to be a simple mission quickly becomes complicated by unforeseen threats that endanger many lives. Resolved to prove her worth as a hero, Mebuki pledges to bring everyone back safely, regardless of the challenges ahead.

Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Dai Mankai no Shou was first announced during the franchise's fifth-anniversary live stream on July 31, 2020. The series was released on Blu-ray from December 15, 2021 to January 19, 2022.
