Tetsujin 28-gou: Hakuchuu no Zangetsu
鉄人28号 白昼の残月
Synopsis
Set in Tokyo a decade after the Pacific War ends, this theatrical adaptation of Yokoyama Mitsuteru's manga centers on boy-genius detective Kaneda Shotaro and his towering robot, Tetsujin 28. Shotaro's long-lost brother emerges as a newly introduced figure: a pilot trained to control Tetsujin, the war machine Japan originally constructed for World War II. But when fighting came to an end, there was no conflict for it to serve in. All around Tokyo, however, "Destruction Bombs" are being uncovered everywhere. These bombs were designed by Kaneda, the professor who created Tetsujin 28 and Shotaro's own father, as the last line of land defense. If they blow, everything that makes up the city Tokyo would be reduced to nothing but ash.
