Synopsis
During Japan's Warring States period, the warrior ZAN finds himself locked in a fierce battle at Azuchi Castle. Called forth by the mysterious voice of a young girl, he crosses the boundaries of time and space into another world—one where he must confront powerful adversaries and monstrous creatures known as Tropes. RIKKA, the ruler who commands the Tropes—the very embodiments of life—preserves the order of this realm. As ZAN begins to question the justice of his own battles, he sets out on a journey to discover the truth, accompanied by Panther, a mechanical lifeform, and Uzume, the enigmatic girl who summoned him. Notes: - First announced in 2010 for a worldwide release in spring 2012. Despite the projected release date, Amano stated in an October 2012 interview that the project was still in its funding and development stages, and that it might instead be realized as a TV series in the future. - In 2022, it was announced that the theatrical project had been rebooted as a series, but in 2026 it was changed once more and listed as a theatrical film slated for release in 2026 or later.
