Princess Comet

Synopsis

In the realm of Harmonica Star, twelve-year-old Princess Comet is scheduled to attend a grand ball where she hopes to meet the prince of Tambourine Star, who is meant to choose his future wife. When the prince fails to show up, Comet is dispatched to Earth to locate him, guided by the starlight in his eyes. Once on Earth, she grows deeply fond of the people there. Meanwhile, Princess Meteor from the kingdom of Castanet Star sets off on her own journey to Earth in search of the same prince. Accompanying Comet is Rubba Ball, a puppy with a star-shaped mark on its tail. She is not the first visitor from her world to come to Earth; another visitor before her fell in love with the planet and chose to live there permanently. That visitor's pet, Bunny—a white cat with rabbit-like ears and a tiny heart on its tail—remained behind as a forest fairy. Comet harnesses her powers, which come from the stars of her home world, through a magical baton. She also possesses a special pendant that can call Rubba Ball and helps her detect and follow the prince's whereabouts.
