Synopsis
During an ordinary school day, 15-year-old Aia Udagawa finds his attention wandering away from his lessons. His peers nominate him to serve as a model for the upcoming Aoi Festival Artist Contest, citing his prior experience in front of cameras. Yet his mind is fixed on Jun Sumisaki, a tall, socially withdrawn girl who feels uneasy about her noticeable freckles and her imposing height. Although they are assigned the roles of model and stylist, Udagawa carries the weight of his abandoned ambition to become a makeup artist, convinced he lacks real skill. Sumisaki, in turn, struggles with confidence regarding her distinctive looks. Suggesting a swap of roles, Sumisaki gives Udagawa complete artistic freedom while she promises to walk the runway with assuredness, following the advice her mother once gave her. The involvement of well-known personalities from the fashion and beauty industry might provide the push Udagawa needs to re-enter that world and achieve success together with his partner.
