Synopsis
This 2009 Korean animated series follows the legendary masked vigilante from the Joseon period, Iljimae, who steals from corrupt officials to aid the impoverished. The protagonist, born to a noble father and an enslaved mother and left behind as a baby, comes back to Korea looking for his relatives. After his first love, Dal-yi, is unjustly executed, he takes on the solitary masked identity of Iljimae, until a woman named Wol-hee pulls him back into society.
