Big Windup! The Basics of Basics

Synopsis

In the summer leading up to Ren Mihashi's high school baseball debut, a fresh sense of unease emerges at Musashino High. Naoto Kaguyama, a pitcher who is small in stature but driven in spirit, grows worried as he observes the demanding training regimen of Motoki Haruna, the incoming freshman pitcher. Concerned that Haruna might eclipse his own abilities, Kaguyama looks into the reasons why such a skilled player would opt for their school, which has a history of underwhelming performance. He also considers how to assemble a team that can effectively harness and support Haruna's talents.
