Synopsis
Music video directed and animated by Rabbit MACHINE for Yorushika's song "Thoughtcrime." The concept of thoughtcrime is taken from George Orwell's novel "1984." However, at the moment it was declared as plagiarism, the plagiarized work transformed into an homage. The distinction between committing plagiarism and creating an homage is unclear, and in reality, no such line exists. This remains true even when the roles are reversed. An homage always carries a significant risk of becoming plagiarism. The lyrics of this song pay homage to Ozaki Hosai's haiku and the final years of his life.
