Synopsis

Continues the story of Symphogear

In Symphogear, Tsubasa Kazanari and Kanade Amou perform as the idol duo Zwei Wing, using their singing to power ancient weapons called Symphogear in their fight against the extraterrestrial threat known as Noise. While the public is aware of Noise's existence, the truth behind Symphogear remains concealed. During a Zwei Wing concert, Noise launches an attack, and to save a young girl named Hibiki Tachibana, Kanade sacrifices herself, leaving a fragment of her Symphogear embedded within Hibiki. Two years later, Hibiki finds herself caught in another Noise attack. While trying to rescue a child who has fallen behind, the power of Kanade's Symphogear within her awakens. Despite Tsubasa still being consumed by grief over Kanade's death, the two girls must learn to work together, using their abilities to protect humanity from the threat of Noise.

Three months after the catastrophic Lunar Attack that nearly destroyed the planet, Hibiki Tachibana, Tsubasa Kazanari, and Chris Yukine continue their battle against the mysterious alien threat known as the Noise, using their advanced Symphogear armor. Following a defense of an American convoy from a Noise assault, Hibiki and Chris hurry to the Queens of Music concert hall to watch Tsubasa perform. Meanwhile, Tsubasa and the international sensation Maria Cadenzavna Eve put on a spectacular show broadcast worldwide. As the concert nears its end, a group of Noise appears, causing widespread panic. In the chaos, Maria, revealed as the heir to Chris’ former master, Finé, declares war on humanity. Her allies, Kirika Akatsuki and Shirabe Tsukuyomi, also reveal their own Symphogear abilities. After a brief clash with Tsubasa and her team, they vanish, leaving the trio puzzled about their motives.
