Synopsis

Continues the story of Stratos 4

In the early 21st century, Earth faces a major threat from large comets. In response, the United Nations creates the Cosmic Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) and establishes a two-level defense system. Orbiting stations launch specialized missiles to destroy incoming celestial objects, while ground-based fighter jets clear any remaining debris. Pilots compete intensely, with many aiming to become prestigious Comet Blasters in orbit rather than Meteor Sweepers at ground bases. Recruit Mikaze Honjou comes from a well-known family of pilots but struggles greatly in her training to become a Comet Blaster, causing her to neglect her studies. After a successful mission with her friends—Karin Kikuhara, Shizuha Doi, and Ayamo Nakamura—Mikaze regains her determination and commits to completing her training alongside them.

In this installment

After returning triumphantly to Earth aboard the upgraded Stratos 4, the four main characters are paid a visit by Comet Blasters members Chizuru Kubo and Annette Kerry, who deliver a shocking video. Meanwhile, a major emergency unfolds at Orbital Station 7. This two-episode OVA is set between the first and second seasons.
