Synopsis
The opera THE END, created by Keiichirou Shibuya, scriptwriter Toshiki Okada, and illustrator YKBX, is distinctive for having no live actors or musicians. Instead, arias and recitatives performed by Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloids carry the story, which is presented through computer-generated audio and visuals. This work questions themes like "What is death?" and "What is an end?" while subverting traditional operatic tragedy. Hatsune Miku takes center stage in a contemporary reimagining of these timeless ideas.
