Synopsis
In a rural setting, a bamboo cutter named Okina frequents the woods to cut down bamboo. One day, he uncovers a small infant within a radiant bamboo stalk. Convinced she is a heavenly sent princess, Okina brings her home. Alongside his wife, Ouna, they raise the child, witnessing her swift growth into a lively young girl. They name her Kaguya, and she seamlessly blends into the village, enjoying adventures with her peers and the simple pleasures of childhood. Her life changes drastically when Okina stumbles upon a significant cache of gold and treasures in the forest, which he believes to be another celestial gift. He uses this wealth to transform Kaguya into a genuine princess, relocating the family to an opulent residence in the capital.
