Synopsis

Continues the story of Koutetsu Jeeg

Hiroshi Shiba is a skilled car racer whose father is killed after uncovering the Bronze Bell, an artifact from an ancient civilization. The Bell is sought after by Queen Himika of the Yamatai Kingdom, who hails from that same ancient era and aims to seize it in order to conquer Earth. Hiroshi inherits several devices from his father that allow him to transform into a full-sized mecha warrior known as Steel Jeeg. With these abilities, along with the help of his father's consciousness stored in a computer and his companion Miwa "Micchi" Uzuki, they work to thwart Queen Himika's plans for global domination.

Set five decades after the original series, Kotetsushin Jeeg ushers in a new generation of defenders. The story centers on Kenji Kusanagi, a high school student who takes up the mantle of Kotetsushin Jeeg to combat the unexpected resurgence of the Haniwa Genjin—clay automatons known as the Haniwa Phantom Gods—sent forth by the Jamada Empire under the rule of Queen Himika. The cast introduces fresh faces such as Tsubaki Tamashiro, the granddaughter of Miwa Uzuki, and Kyou Misumi. Additionally, several familiar figures from the original series make their return.
