Synopsis

In a society where chimeras—beings that are half human and half animal—coexist and work side by side with ordinary humans, a few rotten eggs are bound to show up. Unfortunately, when the criminals are half animal, they leave behind clues that humans simply can't decipher, and the police end up with cases they can't crack. Enter lone wolf detective Hiroshi Inaba. Part wolf himself, Inaba possesses a remarkable gift: by examining or even tasting a strand of hair, he can uncover vital clues in an investigation. Naturally, this talent has given him a bit of a hair obsession, but his two assistants don't seem to mind too much (at least the cross-dressing one isn't complaining). And Inaba's peculiarity pales in comparison to the bizarre tastes of his archenemy, Don Valentino—a half-goat crime boss who devours almost anything, but whose true appetite is for green legal tender rather than greens! Inaba has sworn to drive Valentino out of the criminal flock before the Don can wolf down any more ill-gotten dough, but he'll have to chew through plenty of evidence to finally get his goat. Will sheer dogged detective work be enough to put these baaaaad guys behind bars?
