Synopsis

In the anime "Promise of Wizard," kind-hearted high school student Akira Masaki is transported to a magical world while on her way home. In this realm, those who wield magic are called wizards, and a select few are chosen each year to fight the Great Calamity, a threat that has grown stronger and taken many lives. Amid the chaos, the Great Sage is tasked with leading the chosen wizards against the Great Calamity, a duty that now falls to Akira. Though she wishes to return to her own world, she decides to remain and help the surviving wizards locate their new allies scattered across five nations. Akira must persuade these allies to unite against the approaching danger and guide them in the battle ahead.

Background

Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku is an adaptation of the 2019 mobile video game of the same title developed by Coly. The series was released on Blu-ray in three volumes from April 23, 2025, to June 25, 2025.
