Synopsis
In the year 2030, Japan is on the verge of total destruction because of the Gibia virus, which turns those infected into various monsters that change depending on age, sex, and ethnic background. A samurai and a ninja from the early Edo period are suddenly thrown into this devastated future. There, they join forces with a professor who is determined to create a cure for the virus. As a team, they battle against swarms of Gibia monsters, criminals without any rules, and other deadly enemies while trying to rescue mankind.
Background
Gibiate was created by GIBIATE Project, a global IP development group consisting of internationally renowned Japanese creators such as Yoshitaka Amano ("Final Fantasy"), Naoki Serizawa ("Biohazard" / "Resident Evil"), Yuzo Koshiro (composer of "Ys" and "Act Raiser"), Yoshida Brothers (world-renowned shamisenist group) and SUGIZO (guitarist from LUNA SEA/X JAPAN).
