Synopsis
High school student Gorou Ono receives a text message that promises to grant any wish, which he uses to indulge his fantasies with classmate Sawa Honoka. However, the wish-granter turns out to be a demon named Lall, who reveals that Gorou is now involved in a game to choose the next God of the world. Struggling to come to terms with this, Gorou finds himself attacked by Sawa wielding a massive sword, as she too is a contestant in this bizarre divine contest. Each competitor is endowed with a unique power, and Gorou defeats Sawa using his ability, the Holy Book of the Fool. This power, however, comes at a steep price: each use worsens Gorou's life. As Gorou delves deeper into the nature of this absurd game, he must seek out allies and gain mastery over his ability to prevent losing everything.
