Synopsis

When a near-fatal terrorist attack almost claimed the lives of both him and a newfound companion, they made a childhood pledge to reunite someday in their pursuit of becoming valiant Knights who could shield others. Many years later, Kaname is on the verge of enrolling in a special school administered by his father, where he and his younger sister Yuu—a big-brother-worshipping genius who skipped a grade just to be alongside him—will take part in a dedicated Knights-in-training club called “Esquire.” While traveling to school, however, he catches sight of a street mugging outside his bus window during their drive. Without hesitation, he opens the window and leaps out of the moving bus to lend aid. As part of the effort to address this crime, he crosses paths with the other heroines who will ultimately become his fellow Esquire members.
