Synopsis
Continues the story of Qin's Moon: Hundred Steps Flying Sword
In the freshly unified empire under the rule of the Qin Emperor, the orphan Jing Tianming and his protector Ge Nie face exile. Ge Nie, once hailed as the greatest swordsman of Qin, is now labeled a traitor, while Tianming battles a mysterious ailment. Bound by an earlier pledge, Ge Nie strives to shield Tianming from escalating dangers. When a force of three hundred elite soldiers attacks them, Ge Nie defeats them but sustains severe wounds. In his desperate effort to save Ge Nie, Tianming meets Xiang Shaoyu, a proud and arrogant warrior from the fallen Chu Kingdom, who aspires to restore his homeland's former glory. The trio seeks shelter at the secluded Mohist School, a key resistance group against Qin domination. As the Mohists treat Ge Nie’s injuries, the Qin Emperor recruits the cunning Wei Zhuang, a former rival of Ge Nie and fellow disciple of their shared master. Wei Zhuang leads a band of lethal assassins tasked with hunting down Tianming and his companions.
In this installment
Jing Tianming, Ge Nie, and their companions manage to escape Wei Zhuang's assassins and take shelter within the Mohist School's hidden fortress, Mechanical City, which is tucked away deep in the mountains. This heavily guarded stronghold, defended by complex traps and mechanical creatures, remains one of the few locations beyond the reach of the Qin Empire, serving as a sanctuary for those resisting its rule. Even though breaking into such a secure place is difficult, Wei Zhuang secures the help of the formidable Gongshu clan, renowned for their aggressive and war-focused mechanical creations. Equipped with their deadly devices, Wei Zhuang dispatches a specialized unit into Mechanical City to create chaos and tear the fortress apart from the inside.
