Synopsis
In the story "The Perfect Insider," Shiki Magata is a gifted programmer who lives in seclusion at a remote research facility on an island, receiving very few visitors. Associate Professor Souhei Saikawa and university student Moe Nishinosono come to meet her, but their visit is interrupted when a locked-room murder takes place. As they probe deeper into the case, they realize that nothing is as it seems, with numerous hidden truths lying just beneath the surface. Within the isolated confines of the building, an impossible and horrific crime unfolds, forcing Saikawa and Moe to decipher the mystery surrounding both the murder and the concealed past of Magata.
