Synopsis

Continues the story of The Demon Girl Next Door

After having a mysterious dream about a hidden ancestor, high schooler Yuuko Yoshida awakens to discover demonic horns and a tail on herself. Confused and shocked, her mother reveals a secret family truth: the Yoshida family, belonging to the Dark Clan, lost their powers and were cursed to poverty by the Light Clan's magical girls. To break this curse on her bloodline, Yuuko must find a magical girl, kill her, and use her blood to consecrate a statue of her demonic ancestor. Luck seems to favor the would-be "Shadow Mistress Yuuko" when a magical girl saves her from being hit by a truck. That magical girl turns out to be Momo Chiyoda, a classmate at Sakuragaoka High, who is overwhelmingly stronger and tougher than Yuuko. Nevertheless, Momo feels pity for her feeble opponent and decides to train Yuuko, helping her uncover her latent abilities. Now Yuuko must grow stronger and compete against her kind yet rival-like friend to free her family from their impoverished condition.

The second season of Machikado Mazoku continues. Shamiko, also known as Shadow Mistress Yuuko, strives to break the curse that the Clan of Light placed on her family. Along the way, she builds an unexpected alliance with Momo, a rival from the Light Clan. Together, they must search for a missing magical girl. Meanwhile, a dangerous force lurks somewhere in the city, and Shamiko’s mysterious father may be closer than she realizes.
