Synopsis

Feeling a bit restless in the Lost City of Atlantis, the cheerful and spontaneous shark girl Gura Gawr decides to head up to the surface in search of adventure. She quickly discovers that she'll need to wear clothes if she wants to fit in on land. Fortunately, the local Blue Axolotl Beachwear store offers her a charming shark-inspired outfit that matches her playful personality. After spotting a flyer for a Hololive Production audition, Gura becomes an instantly beloved VTuber. Even with her newfound fame, her heartfelt backstory continues to enchant her audience alongside her lively online performances.

Background

Shark’d premiered at the beginning of a musical livestream, "SHARK 3D LIVE!," on the official Gura Gawr YouTube channel. Shortly after, the animation was uploaded as a standalone video to the channel. The short features references to and cameos of other Hololive Production idols. Tonari Animation, the studio commissioned by Hololive Production to animate the short, uploaded a behind-the-scenes video to their YouTube channel showcasing the animation process.
