Synopsis

Continues the story of SSSS.Dynazenon

One afternoon after school, Yomogi Asanaka finds a starving man living under a bridge. The strange drifter calls himself Gauma and claims to be a "kaiju user," someone who can control the giant monsters that attack the city and its people. The next night, Yomogi encounters Gauma again with her classmate Yume Minami. At the same time, a kaiju appears in a busy part of the city. Since Gauma has little experience with kaiju, he takes a mysterious object from a glowing bag and calls forth the giant robot Dynazenon. This mecha requires four pilots to operate, pulling Gauma, Yomogi, Minami, and Koyomi Yamanaka, an unemployed man wandering the streets, into its control. This first fight against the kaiju marks the start of their involvement with the kaiju eugenicists—users who employ kaiju for harmful purposes—and their effort to fully unlock Dynazenon's power.

In this installment

One year after the events of SSSS.Gridman came to an end, the world has returned to a state of peace. Only Rikka and Utsumi still carry the memories of the kaiju, Gridman, and Akane Shinjou. Even Yuuta, who once served as Gridman's host, has lost all recollection of the crucial events from his past. When a new kaiju emerges, Yuuta seizes the opportunity to prove his heroism by fusing with Gridman once again.
