Synopsis
In a far-off future, thick clouds shroud the Earth, blocking the sun completely. Plants have withered, and the air is thin and scarce on oxygen. To stave off extinction, humanity has invented a method to transform people into plants, generating small amounts of oxygen. But is this process viable? Is it morally right? Toshiro Kamiya confronts these dilemmas when he must choose between preserving his family or himself. Kamiya has reached his breaking point. His mother is sick, and his salary can barely cover her medicine, let alone food. With hardly any alternatives left, he contemplates the life-altering procedure of transfloration. Willing to surrender his body for the money, Kamiya prepares to test the boundaries of society's fading humanity.
