Hitoshi Ariga is a Japanese manga artist and character designer. He is married to Yuzo Koshiro's younger sister Ayano Koshiro. Hitoshi Ariga is known for his work on several projects for the Megaman (Rockman) and Pokémon franchises, from manga to character designs and game illustrations. He was also chosen to draw the manga adaptation of The Big O. Ariga came from the video game industry, where he worked on pixel art, character design, and illustrations for strategy books. As a result, he became close friends with illustrators Tomoharu Saitou and Satoshi Nakai, as well as game music composers Yuzo Koshiro and Kouji Hayama, and has long been a friend of Keiji Inafune.
