Hasegawa Machiko, who loved Kabuki and period dramas, first tried her hand at serializing a topknot manga with "Shin Yajikita Douchuuki/New Journey of Yaji and Kita". It is an adaptation of "Tokai Dochu Hizakurige" by Jippensha Ikku, written in the Edo period, and depicts the amusing journey of Yaji-san and Kita-san from Edo to Ise. While incorporating episodes reminiscent of the original work, Machiko's unique humorous and fun journey unfolds, and the Sazae-san family also appears along the way. They will stop by real cities like Odawara Hamamatsu Okazaki (Sources New Journey of Yaji and Kita of Hasegawa Machiko Memorial Museum
