Tang Qian dropped out of college to work in order to find a cure for his father’s illness. One day when he was standing up for the owner of an antique shop, he bumped into a cinnabar furnace. From that day onward, he had gained a special ability whereby an elder sage’s voice could be heard speaking to him in his mind, telling him a patient’s diagnosis and course of treatment upon seeing the patient. He verified that the sage’s prescriptions were truly effective and could even save patients on the verge of death. His actions of saving people were caught on by the hospital and people were sent to investigate him. Nevertheless, Tang Qian wanted to treat his father’s illness with his newfound ability. However, the ingredients for his father’s prescription could not be found in this world. Alas, he could only continue working for his father’s medical bills. He bought that very cinnabar furnace that he bumped into because it could have something to do with his special powers. He also believed that he had not fully manifested his powers yet.
