How long do I have to live this way? Eve wonders. She was tricked into becoming her boss’s mistress. Then one day, she meets a man at a party—his name is Carl and he’s a movie director. She is instantly attracted to him, but the moment he learns that Eve is Max’s mistress, he throws hurtful words at her.
