Ichitaro Ushiro confronted various paranormal phenomena under the supervision of his father Kentaro, a researcher in psychic science. Sometimes his life was threatened, but he was protected by Hyakutaro, Ichitaro's guardian spirit. He also unraveled paranormal mysteries with the help of his psychic dog Zero, who had a human face and can communicate with him telepathically. <br><br>
