Ohbang Won is a veteran South Korean Superhuman, much like the series' protagonist, Lim Kang. He operates a traditional martial arts gym specializing in Subakdo located on Yongpo Mountain, where he serves as the esteemed teacher and mentor to Lim Kang. Having lost one of his legs in the past, he now uses a prosthetic limb, and throughout the story, he is most commonly referred to as "Grandpa" or "Master" rather than by his birth name. Due to his advanced age and long history, he possesses a deep and extensive knowledge regarding the nature and secrets of Superhumans. In terms of personality, he treats his disciples with the same care and devotion as his own family. Although he initially maintained a cold and distant attitude toward Lim Kang and Shidou Juri, it was eventually revealed to be a form of rigorous discipline. Since Lim Kang and Juri began living at the dojang, he has embraced them fully, treating them with the same warmth and protective guidance as he does his other students.
