Summary
Mukuro is a ruthless and treacherous pirate who spent his youth in the Ryuukyuu Islands alongside Mugen and his younger sister, Khoza. He betrayed Mugen after they stole a ship from Satsuma carrying raw sugar, leaving Mugen to face the consequences alone. The trio encounters him again in episodes 13-14, titled "Misguided Miscreants Parts 1-2," where Mukuro and his crew attempt to rob and kill the protagonists, only to be easily thwarted by Mugen and Jin. He then proposes a partnership to Mugen, promising vast riches in gold coins. Although Mugen initially refuses, Mukuro wears him down through a contest and ultimately repeats his old betrayal.
