Danzoumaru
Summary
Danzoumaru serves as one of the four guardians protecting the entrance to the Seireitei, specifically holding the position of guardian for the Black Ridge Gate, also known as the Northern Gate. During the Soul Society arc, Sousuke Aizen used hypnosis to control him and the other two guardians, employing them to hinder Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions. His interference was ultimately thwarted by Jidanbou Ikkanzaka. Although he is one of only two gatekeepers to appear in the anime alongside Jidanbou, his screen time occurs during the anime-only Bount arc, where he is swiftly defeated by the Bounts Yoshi and Mabashi.
