Anubis
Summary
Anubis serves as the King’s most trusted adviser, handling various affairs while offering harsh and cynical opinions. As a child, he was burdened by high expectations from his peers as the heir to the "Anubis" lineage, destined to be the king’s personal right-hand man. His upbringing lacked parental affection; his father was perpetually occupied with the former king, and his mother remains entirely unmentioned. The late king later appointed him as a companion to Leonhart during their childhood. During this time, his frail constitution led to frequent illness, a fact noted by maids whispering outside his room. His attitude shifted dramatically after Leonhart was injured while protecting him from a bandit attack. Following their escape and subsequent rescue by a search party, Anubis vowed to become a loyal retainer to Leonhart, even if it meant sacrificing the warmth he had felt in their friendship. He fully embraced his role as Anubis, thereby discarding his original name, Sirius.
