Summary
Formerly the princess of Midland, Charlotte Beatrix Marie fell in love with Griffith at first sight. After Guts defeated him in a duel, Griffith took Charlotte as his own, leading to his imprisonment and year-long torture. During this ordeal, Charlotte remained devoted to him and ultimately helped the Hawks escape their captors. Two years post-Eclipse, Midland fell to the Kushans, and she was captured by Ganishka, who intended to make her his wife. Even in captivity, she spent her time embroidering portraits of Griffith, awaiting his return. Following the events at Albion, Griffith arrived to rescue her and Anna, using Zodd to fly them to safety. She now travels with the new Band of the Hawk, to whom she is betrothed. After their decisive victory against the Kushans in Vritannis, she declared the group to be Midland's Regular Army. Sonia has nicknamed her the "Queen of the Ducks."
