Summary
In the anime episode For Ho-Oh the Bells Toll!, Eusine appears as a proud and arrogant individual with a slight superiority complex, displaying near-religious fervor for Suicune. He challenges Ash for claiming to have met the legendary beast, a reaction that may stem from jealousy since Ash had also encountered Ho-Oh while Eusine had not yet seen any of the beasts himself. Upon finally seeing Suicune, he attempts to capture it for ego gratification, ironically behaving like the unworthy individuals he despises. This portrayal contrasts with his appearance in The Legend of Thunder!, where he mentions Suicune only briefly in reference to the other beasts. In that same episode, he assists Jimmy, Marina, and Vincent in their battle against Attila and Hun, causing Marina to fall for him due to his cape. He is apparently very close friends with Morty, an expert on Ecruteak legends who acts as his voice of reason, though Eusine rarely heeds his advice to calm down.
