Shizune is a highly skilled medical-nin and jounin from Konohagakure, serving as the dedicated attendant and apprentice to Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage. The niece of Dan, Tsunade’s late fiancé, Shizune accompanied her master after Dan’s death, forming a bond so profound that Tsunade trusts her with absolute certainty. Shizune views her life’s purpose as caring for Tsunade, acting as a grounding force for the Hokage’s impulsive and gambling habits. While Tsunade is emotional, Shizune is level-headed, practical, and rational, often stressing over details and comically reacting to irrational decisions. She is energetic and efficient, constantly urging Tsunade to complete paperwork to prevent backlog, and she also cares for Tsunade’s pet pig, Tonton. Her medical prowess is second only to Tsunade and Sakura Haruno, granting her excellent chakra control. This skill led to her appointment as captain of the Allied Shinobi Forces' Logistical Support and Medical Division and her role in sealing the Three-Tailed Giant Turtle.
