Hoshika
Mukuro

Summary

Mukuro stands as one of the Three Kings of Makai, a title she earned through centuries of relentless growth fueled by the hatred stemming from her traumatic past. Born into slavery, she endured such abuse that on her seventh birthday, she attempted to pour acid on herself to force her master to discard her. This act inadvertently freed her, allowing her to replace her burned right side with mechanical components and wear a mask to conceal her gender. As she grew stronger over time, she eventually built her own kingdom and challenged the Makai Lord Raizen, initiating a war. Her path toward redemption began when she acquired Hirui, a stone that calmed her soul, preventing her from being entirely consumed by darkness. She later summoned Hiei to join her cause, forging a deep bond with him due to their shared experiences of hatred and childhood trauma. During the Makai tournament in the anime, Mukuro defeated Hiei, who used the victory to break the heavy chains on her wrists that had been with her since her enslavement, symbolically freeing her from her past. In the manga adaptation, Hiei similarly liberated her by capturing her abusive master and removing the mental conditioning that had suppressed her desire for revenge.
