Summary
Taketsuna Gori serves as the Fifth Seat of the Third Division within the Gotei 13, operating under the command of Captain Roujuurou Otoribashi. During the Vandenreich invasion, he stands alongside Lieutenant Izuru Kira and other Third Division officers at the base of a pillar of blue flame. Frustrated by the delay, Gori expresses his exhaustion with waiting and hopes the enemy will reveal themselves soon. When a member of the Reishi Investigation Team reports that a Quincy is hiding within the flames, Izuru orders an immediate assault. However, Izuru is severely injured before he can act. Rikū Togakushi then commands the remaining Shinigami to unleash their Shikai. Gori releases his own Shikai but is quickly overpowered by the Quincy, who brutally slams his head into the ground.
